A 6 channel Audison LRX6.9............... runnimg in a 3 channel mode FR L&R and sub (2 x 240W (4 ohms) + 1 x 280W (4 ohms) ) or 5 channel mode FR L&R RR L&R and sub, 70 watts times 4 and sub 280 (4 ohms))???????? for best sound quality.............

The first one but that's because I don't run rear speakers. My only concern would be that the front stage would totally drown out the sub with that amount of power to each. If possible I would run the front stage either as an active two-way or semi active 3-way and couple that with a really efficient sub.

I have a dual voice coil Focal sub so if I combine the + and- 's I can run at 2ohm which is 400+ watts to the single sub. Up front I am running Focal K2 Power 6.5 components. Give all of this, which layout would you recommend?

If you mount the passive unit for the comps in the rear near the amp, you can try out both. Try it out bridged using the passive and try it out active.
