Amp clipping

I've got an Orion HCCA D5000 with two 10" Orion HCCA's. Everything is working fine but when I get the volume up to about 24 or so, the subs just cut out. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks in advance for any help.

running at low of a ohm on the amp? voltage dropping too low? whats the specs on the amp and what kind of upgrades have you done (like spare batteries)

It's 1 ohm stable and I have it wired at 1 ohm. For as electrical, I have a 160 amp alt with a stinger sp680 behind it.

get a dmm and check ur ohm impedance to the amp

Sounds like you need to junk it and buy an old school hcca 2100 or 2150.... both are .5ohm stable and way underrated they're called cheater amps along with a few others because they're rated at 12V

get a vom meter. set it at dc voltage. put the + lead on + & - lead on - (of the amp)while you crank it up. if the voltage is dropping to 11 volts or lower then you have a low voltage problem.
