ok so when i listen to something with alot of lows my amp will clip at a kinda high volume. i dont know much about clipping but i have basically stock electrical except for upgraded grounds. and it seems to me since the lows draw the most that my electrical is at fault for the clipping. i am in the process of getting a kinetic hc1400. will that stop my problems.. im runnin at 1200 rms

yea true . but my battery is pretty lame and ive got pretty bad dimming. and the midbass is insanely nice and loud. just seems it cant handle the lows past a certain volume

I don't know if his 2001 Civic is like my 1997 Civic, but mine has a crappy stock alternator and had a small battery. IIRC, my stock alternator is a 75 or 85 amp unit (forgot).

The system in my Civic (see sig below)is only tuned to run @ 750 watts RMS, but my 25 to Life Punch 150 could easily push 1000 watts RMS, assuming the birth sheet isn't lying. With the Kinetik and upgraded grounds, I get absolutely NO dimming @ full volume!
