Amp clipping, voltage problem?

I just had my first decent system installed this weekend. I am running 2 15" Orion H2's and an Orion XTR Pro 2400 (2400 watts rms). I bought a pre-fab box temporarily until I find the time to build one, but that's a whole different issue. I had 1/0 wire ran to a distribution block, with 2 4 gauge power wires going into the amp and 2 4 gauge grounds also. Also, I bought an Optima yellow top to go under the hood, but they didn't put it in because they said it was too tall and wouldn't fit, which I'm thinking is BS (95 Chevy Impala SS). I haven't done the big 3 yet either, so I'm running all this on the stock battery, stock alternator, stock big 3 (I know, I know) for now. The amp is clipping at high volumes, and I was just wondering if this is a voltage issue?

where are they running the groudns for your amps to btw?

The grounds are bolted to the trunk hinge.

what ohm are the subs wired to, and how high do you have the gain?

The subs are at 2 ohms, I'm not really sure where the gain is set...I didn't touch it after they tuned it.

did they just bolt the ground to teh hinge or can you see if they scratched the paint off at all?

It was just bolted to the hinge, it wasn't sanded before attaching the grounds.
