Amp class and recommendation for SQ?

Which style/class of amp gives better Sound Quality (SQ) for a sub, Class ab, d, or bd? Looking in the 500W range.

For a sub, it doesn't matter too much. I wouldn't worry about it.

How about for SQ driving a sub, any prefrence between RF, JL, or Memphis amps? Looking to drive a single IDMAX 12D4v.3

Out of those, I'd probably go with JL or older RF, but that's just personal preference.
