amp choice help

first off i know nothing about ohm laws but need a good tutorial but i have 2 4 ohm subs and i have two amp choices what would be best. alpine mrp1000 or memphis mcd-1000? which would be best if i upgraded to 3 subs? thanks

Two 4 ohm subs can be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohms. From your options, I'd go with memphis because I think it would perform better and you can wire it down to 1 ohms. As long as you set the gains properly, you can run any sub on it without blowing it. Check out the 12 volt website, they have a lot of good info.

But I do believe there is better amps out there that would get the job done. Anything from hifonics and audiopipe to audioque and sundown. Good luck.

only if they are 2 d4 subs but if they are s4 then he is limited to 8 and 2 ohms...
