Amp channel question

I am setting up a stereo system in my truck, and am very new to it. When I bought it from my cousin she had a jvc receiver and a pair of decent sony speakers but were trashed because they had no covers. I wanna set up a new system in my truck but I have limited room. I found a good boss receiver and a alpine component speaker system with two tweeters and 6 1/2 speakers. I also found the alpine f300 amp I wanna get. Let me know if that would all work together. Now here's the question. The amp is a 4 channel. So does that mean the two tweeters would take up two channels and then the two speakers would take up the other two? Ive done a lot of reading but i'm still a little confused on this and then what if I wanna eventually put a sub in? Would I need a 5 channel amp then? Thanks for all the help.
