is it possible to fry an amp if smthg isnt right with the xover on my dls r6a????
the story is this...i had 2x helix hxa 1000 on my front system and everything was working fine....
but since the system has issues with the mid area i bought a focal utopia Xover(3 kHz 24 db, original is 4.5 and 6 db fall) and everything shot straight to hell..
first my sstem wouldnt play then just one side played then the other and then the amps went into protect...one fried all its fuses(4x 25 A) and the one on the distribution block and the other works fine now...
anywyas it was all good before the utopia line x overs...now im afraid to hook them up again...everything else on the install was the same except them, but its all passiev elements, i dont see how its possible to fry an amp with them
