powering pg rsd comps...

Anything around 100-180w will do great for the comps. I've also had them on ~75w, and they sound good, just dont hit with the same real athority (esp. is these are your only speakers) unless you give around 150+.

i might get a set of these after hearing how people talk so highly of them for the price. i don't hear people say what kinda power they can handle or how much they really need.

so if i put 150 watts rms to each side daily they will survive it?

The rsds dont need a lot of power. 75-100 is more than sufficient, but they can handle 150+ just fine.
i listen to a lot of rock/metal and i like it loud. i plan on running a powerful front stage and just running the stock pioneer rears off the deck so only 20 or so watts rms to the rears.

i want the pg rsds cause everybody says they have awesome mid bass and some are saying they can play really low as well. i'm hoping i can cross them at 63 at a 12db slope since my sub doesn't like the upper bass region very much.

i would like to get an amp that does 150x2 and just set the gains for 100-125 so i have some headroom to be safe.
