Ok so i have two 15's. Each one RMS at 1500 watts. Each one is dual 2 ohm nominal, dual 1.4 DCr. So i need an amp that would put out 3000 watts at 1 ohm or .5 ohm. A massive electrical is in the works. A rough guess at what it would be is...either a 300 amp ohio gen or (2) 200 amp ohio gen alts, and 4 or 5 yellow tops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif thanks, andrew

Amps i have in mind...

IA 20.1

Orion 2500d

This is for daily driving and must run the .5 or 1 ohm load daily and not go into protect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it will probably be close to that but the real question is can you powerit to provide that
ohio gen alts, 4-5 yellow tops, 3 runs of 1/0 to the back. tripple grounds to the frame //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ed amps are ok they do raited power and have a 3 year warrenty and dont do much damage to the pocket book.

Now your electrical

ohio gen alts, 4-5 yellow tops, 3 runs of 1/0 to the back. tripple grounds to the frame //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

2 dual 2 ohm subs does not equal 1 ohm. ever consider getting 2 1500 watt amps and strapping them? generally strapped amps will do the total rms power at 2 ohms

i can wire each one down to 1 ohm seperate....or the pair at .5 ohm...

how about a

XX Colossus II Dual Mono-Block

Ultra D-Class Amplifier Design

2 x 1600-Watts RMS @ 1-Ohm or

1 x 3200-Watts RMS @ 2-Ohm

Since i have dual 2 ohm subs could i wire each one to one ohm and give each one 1600 watts?

Thanks, Andrew
