Amp 1500-2kw?

I want an amp to power a BTL I may be getting. What is a good one for this? I was thinking a Sundown 1500D, but really don't want to spend that much.

I dont understand what makes it such a good deal.

1500 Watts - 450$

There are other units that are better deals then this.

And really, things like the Nine.1 at 1200 watts and 3 year warranty seem like a better deal for $350.

People have been saying good things about the newer hifonics stuff, especially the xx series in which a 1600 watt xx-zeus can be had for $389.00.

There must be something I am missing about this unit that makes it special...

Get a HIFONICS XX-ZEUS and be done with it. This is a really nice amp, people hates on Hifonics because they are on ebay and can had for cheap. The Nine.1 is a good choice too. How about the KX1200.1, another good amp. If you are going to spend $450 on a 1500RMS amp....get a Diamond Audio D61500.1

Do some research and find out about how much that goes into and the quality of parts used on the Sundown amps, and then do the same thing for the ED amp, and for the Hifonics.

 

The SAZ-1500Ds are usually doing into the 1700 watt range @1 ohm on a good charging system, they are warrenty covered to .5 ohms. Too many hifonics are not even doing ratted power, I have not read of many ED's doing more than ratted power. The Sundowns can be compared to the likes of Zapco and ARC. That cannot be said about Hifonics or ED.

 

Oh by the way, the MSRP of the Sundown is $599, so yes $450 with no shipping is a very good deal.
