stay far far away from sony. my friend has their 1000 watt amp and it clips at 400 watts i'd say. it is sh*ty. but yeah i'd say you could run those off of those amps. wouldn't be the best but i'd get her done nicely enough. also you can get a 1600x1 amp on online car stereo right now for 239 shipped.

it is a overrated amp but it still gots the juice you need.

it would be more than enough with room for upgrading subs later. i'm not sure what amp noviceguru is suggesting, but 1600 would allow for a serious sub upgrade later.

the older type-rs were intended to have more sq than the new ones. as a result, they have a lower ceiling when it comes to the amount of watts you can throw at them. i doubt that amp is strappable and if you don't know much about car audio, i would advise against running a dual amp setup unless you have to. if i was you, i would follow the advice already given...power one of these with that amp until you can get a suitable amp to replace the one you currently have.

Hifonics, I havent heard of them before (Im from NS, Canada). Dont think they have them at the shops around here. The brands around here include Alpine, JL audio, kenwood, pioneer, infinity, rockford, clarion. hifonics is good for the money. as far as quality, they're pretty good. a lot of people have unreal expectations for them. if you could get your hands on a fosgate amp thats around ~1000-1600 rms from your shop, go for it. if you want to save [a lot] of money, go on ebay.

i've never seen them in any shop. it's better than all you listed except jl, alpine and the fosgate. the newer models do rated power and are pretty reliable. i like hifonics.

they are great amps. they never do quite what they say but they are by far best bang for the buck. and as for as the bxi1606d vs the bx1605d..... i hate the looks of the bxi lol. but yeah it is newer and if it comes with a warranty that is a killer deal. i heard the bxi light up cool but then again so does the amp i suggested. also i think the bxi over heats too often. i don;t know for sure but i heard rumors. can;t always trust rumors. but i happen to own the bx1605d i gave you the link for and i think i could have not spend my money wiser. but if you do need to save the extra 30 buck go on ebay. great deals all over online. but than local shops. stay away from those lol, salesmen = bad

well when a company comes out and wins awards and makes and 50,000watt mono amp, expectations get a little crazy lol.
