think i may have done this once or twice, or when i was 16 and i had an amp go into protect for the first time i was freaking out.
those bb2400s were both on 1YT each.hell no i wasnt on stock electrical lolConsidering your voltage is dropping to 11.8 with ONE ap15001d, yes there is no way in hell you had 1600rms on each of those subs. The amperage draw from those two amps is WAY higher than that single ap1500. You were probably seeing no more than 500rms with your voltage drop and impedance rise.
Also how did you set it to 900rms? I'm assuming you mean that you calculated the output voltage to coincidence with 900 watts...correct? If that is the case than you would have to also calculate in the starting voltage...which obviously drops low. That would mean these subs were now getting probably 500 or so watts a piece.
So if everything you say is true...the only thing that could be the problem is playing below tuning. Or your lying about one of these things...and or you set the gains/headunit wrong.

yea i did the DMM setting. and if this is only 500rms then i have some nice things to say about 500rms and my box lol .
perfect example of its all about the box lolthose bb2400s were both on 1YT each.hell no i wasnt on stock electrical lol

Having a yellowtop on each of them means nothing with a stock alternator...batteries only discharge when they drop below 12volts.those bb2400s were both on 1YT each.hell no i wasnt on stock electrical lol

i can see that because i was in a 158+ music hummer and i was fine. my car makes me turn it down at times. i like that though. and i dont see any real benifit of tuning lower except having less of a cutoff freq. and i dont want to lose my daily driver that does good numbers..Having a yellowtop on each of them means nothing with a stock alternator...batteries only discharge when they drop below 12volts.
Also like I said before...higher tuning/ higher peaks is louder than lower tuning and peaks... Ive heard a 148db at 50hz and its the only thing thats ever made me want to tap out...and ive been in 160+ vehicles.
The only advantage of tuning lower is going to be not burning up your equipment. Or like I said just play music with higher frequencies... (Thug motivation is 41-43 hz) it would be a perfect song for your box...however that doesn't mean that your resonant frequency is that tuning. You will do the highest numbers at your resonant frequency. You have to make some kind of sacrifices...i can see that because i was in a 158+ music hummer and i was fine. my car makes me turn it down at times. i like that though. and i dont see any real benifit of tuning lower except having less of a cutoff freq. and i dont want to lose my daily driver that does good numbers..
so say i go from 40-34 and put my gains to 1500 when my power arrives. (-3 db tone) would i still gain a bit of db? i really would hate to lose that 47-55 hz tapout :/The only advantage of tuning lower is going to be not burning up your equipment. Ether you put up good numbers and are limited to the music tracks you can play
OR
You tune a box lower and you can play all the music you want, but it will most likely cause a loss of DB...Unless like I said you add more cone area/power
then you'd hate my car. lol. same 148ish at 49 and 51 hz.Having a yellowtop on each of them means nothing with a stock alternator...batteries only discharge when they drop below 12volts.

Tuning to 34 hz would be good if your wanting to play a lot of different music...however, turning your gain up is going to do nothing but cause more voltage drop and more clipping and you will run into the same type of problem from clipping. You will not gain db's from tuning lower without more cone area (its just not possibly)so say i go from 40-34 and put my gains to 1500 when my power arrives. how will i clip on 100 ah of extra batts?Tuning to 34 hz would be good if your wanting to play a lot of different music...however, turning your gain up is going to do nothing but cause more voltage drop and more clipping and you will run into the same type of problem from clipping. My suggestion to you is to keep the same tuning since you obviously want to compete and make numbers...however I suggest you control yourself when playing certain music and it will save your equipment in the long run.
