I have a 2 alpine mrd-m605 amps http://www.crutchfield.com/S-QvfouBDzx7k/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=500MRDM605 . I just purchased 2 10" alpine type r subs http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=520&i=500SWR1022&c=3&tp=111&avf=N . I messed up and got the one with 2-2 ohms voice coils instead of 2-4 ohm voice coils. I want to run one amp per speaker at 2 ohms, but with the 2-2 ohms speakers it forces me to either 1 ohm or 4 ohms. Will these amps be ok at 1 ohm or just use 4 ohms and be safe?

O.K. then. Would it be worth me sending back the speakers to get the 2-4 ohms ones. Is there gonna be that much difference 400w at 4 ohms than 600w at 2 ohms? Take in mind that i'm not trying to win a stereo competition and they only going in a full size ext. cab dodge. I'm replacing 2 10" polk dx with those speakers. Also I was only using one of those amps to power both subs.
