I think its some kind of quest to try to make people think they were wrong for suggesting the correct ways to do things. Unfortunately when you call retards wanging on building materials over anti-corporate gibberish "music" your opinion on what sounds good is invalidated. You care so little you about the approval of others and being the "old guy that doesn't give a fvck" that you insist on reinforcing the concept and the objective results of your system in every thread you post in with a bunch of strangers. Sounds about right.
There exists no one "correct way" to do things too much in car audio. I had a very good idea of exactly what I wanted to do before I started getting my car audio system installed, and many here were all about "Oh, you can't do that!" and I EVIDENCED them incorrect, because I DID IT! Or had it done if you prefer. And it sounds pretty **** sweet too!I think its some kind of quest to try to make people think they were wrong for suggesting the correct ways to do things. Oh, there was some nood here saying my putting my 12" sub in a cabinet in the Stow-n-Go seating pit in my Grand Caravan pointing UP would completely prevent me from hearing it, and he was SO full of s hit!i dont recall anybody saying you couldn't do what you were wanting to, more along the lines of there are more efficient and beneficial routes to go about it.
You are correct, although I do kinda play a djembe now, and did take violin lessons in 4th grade which I got frustrated with because I wanted to just PLAY rather than go though the excruciating process of "learning how" in a supposedly correct way. There are MANY ways to play instruments, the standard societally approved way AND all the rest too! And I "played" the heck out of a large sheet of tempered Masonite for the intro of the Cheep Effects song "Goodbye Taism" which no one here on car audio.com has EVER heard! I began the intro beat, then the Cheep Effects drummer came in and we played together to finish the intro and get into the meat of the song! And we KICKED A SS! But mostly I was the technitian of the Cheep Effects, and coined the band's name! ON TAPE!and making music really isnt that overly complex, especially when you dont actually play an instrument.
After hundreds of people have tried different ways to do things and shared experiences patterns emerge the "better" way to do things comes to light. You could mount a non enclosed sub to the top of your head with duct tape and use quick releases to hook it up when your in your car and it would work, a bunch of stupid **** can work, but not work properly. which would all fit your doing things differently approach. There exists no one "correct way" to do things too much in car audio. And as far as your opinion of the Cheep Effects "music" have YOU ever made any music? I'd bet not. So what right do YOU have to criticize? All YOU probably do is listen to OTHER PEOPLE'S MUSIC!! How hard is that? ROFL!!!
