So i have 2 kickers 12incvr hooked up to a old rockford 800a2 into 2ohms, thats 400 rms per channel. I tried to hook the same set up to a orion hcca2400 at 2ohms which is 800rms into 1 channel. The 2 channal is hella lot louder than the 1channel amp but the orion is twice the rms why is that?

So with the orion, since i have 2 speakers going to it does that only make it play 400watts rms into each speaker?

yes. 800 / 2 = 400

wow thats special, I thought it would play 800rms into each speaker I was not sure how a one channel amp worked , but i get it now. thanks for the help.
