alternator????

i want to run a starter batter and 4 optima bateries in the back with an isolator in between. i have a few questions,

i know the positive goes to the isolator then the wire goes to the back, do i connect the negative to the back also ?

what alternator can keep these batteries charged all day long while music is playing?

Do you want to have seprate batteries to start your vehicle, or just run them all together to have a nice electrical backup? If the 2nd one, you dont need an isolator.

And on the alt, just get one that will supply enough power for your system, plus what your stock alt is, and you should be fine.
