Alternator tru or false?

is it true that if that you dont need a HO alternator, just an isolator and batteries in the back to run 2 orion 2500d orions? (was told by an installer in a shop in NY)

You dont need to add anything to run it...

But if you want to run it properly, you would need at a least 200A+ alternator and an extra battery or two.

And eighty-six the isolator...

Same reason you dont want to mix different types of batts in portable electronics and shit, they can drain each other. I dont really see the use for two batteries though, unless you plan on switching to the deep cycle while the cars off ( hence the use of an isolator).

that installer is retarded. punch him in the nuts. for 2 2500d's, you need an HO alt AND an extra battery (maybe 2) and use isolators in case a batt messes up or something.

I think what he's trying to say is if you have 1 dedicated starting battery and 1+ batteries dedicated to other electronics it's a good idea to have an isolator to ensure that the starting battery doesn't get drained, leaving you SOL. That situation is more of a "if lightning strikes" kind of thing though unless you're parked for a long time with your stereo on.
