Alternator to battery

Hey everybody I was wondering what is the difference between running 0G from your alt to your front battery and running 0G from your alt to the battery in the back and just bypass the front battery. Is there a reason it has to be hooked up to the front battery. I mean everything would still work fine even if you just bypassed the front battery since its the remote wire that comes from the HU. Only real beneficial thing I can gather is you just have that extra battery up front. As to where if you just run it straight to the back battery you would be bypassing all the cars electronics itself and your system would be running off the battery you have in the back and nothing else would be tied into it like it would be if you had the 2 batts connected. Also wouldnt it be beneficial to not draining your main car battery as much if you were to turn on the stereo with the car off? Also wouldnt it be beneficial to those who run 2 different types of batteries in their car. Can somone please elaborate on this for me.

Thanks Seth

if both batteries are charging off the alt then they are still connected AT THE ALT. so it won't be an independent system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

this is the same as any other dual battery setup, except you're going from the alt instead of the battery. the wire will be there regardless, so IMO it doesn't matter where you start (alt or batt).
