alternator suggestions?

my car is leased so i dont wanna go to high but 2 questions:

1. at what pt in terms of the total voltage of ur system ( i realize there are other factors but generally speaking) is it worthwhile to upgrade ur alternator?

2. what are some good brands and models that arent too pricey? (i cant give u much of a price range bc i have little or no idea what they tend to run)

If its leased dont bother getting a new alternator for it.

Most are around the $200 area

appreciate the advice, but i already put like 3500 into my system (everythng except the dynamat is coming with me when i move from a 2003 Audi A4 to a 2007 Audi S4 next summer). if spending an extra 200 bucks will make a diff, ill do it, esp since my sub hasnt been too lively since it started gettng really hot a few weeks back here in NY

expect to spend around $350 ~ $500. you can find something for $200, but you get what you pay for.

powermaster, iraggi, and ohio generator are my 3 picks.
