Alternator size ?

Ok in the market for an HO Alt, what size should I get? I need something that will power the setup listed in my sig, and a direct bolt in. Nothing to large or to small. As for other electronics all I have is factory fogs. This system will not be upgraded in the future ( ok maybe the sub...maybe).

Ask the manufacturer what sizes they offer for your vehicle.

Companies offer different AMPERAGES for different cars

just get a 200 amp. imo it's always good to get a bigger one then what you need. with my tantrum i really didn't even need an ho alt, but got one anyways and i'm glad because i'm gonna be running an orion 2500D shortly.

Higher over all amperage = lower idle amperage

My bros iraggi 220 does 180 at idle so i dont see how that makes sense

i don't see how that makes any sense. most stock alts don't even do 100 amps peak let alone at an idle. also everytime i asked dom about an alt for my car he said the amps at idle were 110.

i know tsunami make high output alternators for every car from 1965 to now. From 150 amp to 220 amp
