Alternator Question

I just got my 880prs installed today and the voltage display on it says im only getting between 13.1 and 13.4 volts most of the time with the car on.......how accurate is this?....could something be wrong with my alt?.....it is a 220 amp alt from excessive amperage......what kind of volatge should i be getting??
