Alternator Problems, I Think?

Okay,

I am running one JL Audio 12W7 which is powered by a JL Audio 1000/1 amp. I have My components and my 6x9's running off of a JL Audio 450/4. The problem is that my audio will basically cut off once it get loud. The components and 6x9's cut off and the sub cuts off once my capacitor gets in the 10.0 or lower range, and will come back on and then cut back off continuously. I have all of my audio running off of a yellow top battery in my trunk, so I am assuming that my alternator just isn't getting the job done, and that I will have to beef it up. I just bought the alternator yesterday and It is a 124 amp alternator. My question basically is, what size alternator (amp) do I need to run my audio to where the battery in the back is being charged to where the audio won't keep going in and out on me? All help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I am running 4 gauge wire from the amps and capacitor.

The battery is located in the trunk. The wires are running all the way from the trunk battery to a circuit breaker located under the hood, and the circuit breaker is running to the main battery (red top) under the hood.

Hope that helps, and makes sense. Let me know if you guys need more infor.

Thanks
