oh...i always thought zero gauge was just "0 gauge".....so 1/0 is the biggest?

alot more current can flow through 1/0 gauge then threw 4 gauge. meaning lessing voltage drop. might as well go with bigger wire instead of choking/restricting your new alt.

One ott is not the biggest, the biggest...EASILY available is 4/0 or Four OTT cable through welding supply. There IS obviously larger...but nothing people should worry abour for vehicle use.

Please Replace my stock alternator with this new alternator.
Using 1/0 wire, do the following:

Add a wire from Battery positive to alternator positive lead

Add a wire from Battery negative to chassis

Add a wire from Battery negative to Engine block ground

what's the difference b/w running a wire from the battery to the chassis to the engine block ground vs what u have where you're running 2 wires from the negative battery 1 to the chassis and 1 to the engine ground?

i'm getting everything put in on monday.
