Alternator inquiry......

Ok, so i have been alternator searching for my '00 range rover and it seems not much out there. powerbastards and singer both offer a 225 amp but i cant find much else. I think i want closer to 270-300 amps. anyone have any experience with this on land rovers or know what i could expect out of a 225 alt?

Anything from mike singer will be good. I have his 270a alt and its one beast and comes with a life time warranty!

second vote for singer. Look at my sig electrical. Only drops .4 at full tilt. OP how much power do you intend on running?

3600 watts @1 ohm. i have been speaking with mike at singer. i figure my car will pull about 100 amps tops from factory equipment. mike thinks my amplifier will only pull another 100 amps. i dont know if this is true, i was thinking more, but even with a 225a alternator, that doesn't leave much wiggle room

I highly doubt it's only going to pull 100 amps. With 1 or 2 big batts in the back you would be good with that singer alt though. I'd stay clear of tenny alts until some of the issues I have heard are resolved. spoke with nate @excessive amperage, says he can build a 250a for me, good price, so i went for it. we shall see....
