okay so here is what happen i had a 80 amp alternator that was bad under full load a/c and light and high beams my volatge would drop to 12.0 volts and under no loadd it would be normal 14.2 v well i found a guy that would rebuilt the alternator and add amps to it and he did and he said the bench mark showed it's making 146 amps well he put it back in the car still the same problem with the voltage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif well the guy dosent open until monday and thankfully i have 1 year warranty so..i went to auto part and they tested it and said it has a open diode is that possible? and if it is will it be a easy fix for the guy or was he just bullshitting me and didnt do jack **** ? is it possible that he did raise the amps on it and the one open diode is making it that bad of a voltage drop on the alternator?
