Im about to purchase a 300 amp alternator from Iraggi and I was wondering whether or not I will need to do anything else to my car when installing it. I asked him if i needed to do any modifications, and he said, "The only thing you will need to do is splice the regulator wires together. Two small wires....maybe thre depending on your motor. I have a '95 Civic DX. " Is there anything else that needs to be done?

Alpine CDA-9815, Alpine Type S (SPS-170A) front and back, 2 Alpine Type R 12", MTX 1501D amp, Optima yellow top in trunk

If that is your system there is no need for a 300 amp alternator, a 120-160 will be more then enough. Upgrade the magic three and you already have a deep cycle batter.

Yeah, I know that there isn't a need for that big of an alternator with my current system, but I have plans to add more to it, which I know I didn't mention. I plan to hookup two mono amps and a 4 channel in the future. I decided to go ahead and get the alternator taken care of for that. Is that kind of a good choice to go ahead and already get that done?
