......Hey dood, im a professional auto mechanic by day and let me say that while 1100 for a new alternator may sound amazingly GLARINGLY expensive, keep in mind its a 200 AMP ALTERNATOR... hell, we put rebuilds in cars and most of the time they are stock 50-70 amp and then run US around 150-200 bucks....so you are in fact getting an amazing deal...a 200 amp alternator could easily run two batteries, possibly three (now THAT would be a big marine switchOriginally posted by nln327 hey brock...u got aol IM?? i must apologize, me thinking mainly about money i forgot :;slaps head:: you are gonna be installing it yourself....no labor charge.......something you have to understand tho, is that if you are putting a 200 amp alternator in a friggin HONDA, thats gonna require some serious custom work on an alternator casing (generally when you have one custom made they take a universal case wound as tight as possible so as to be small enough to fit.....but then they have to add the bracket on to it which can be costly depending on the amount of materials neccessary....in addition to this, you often have to send it away so you have to figure shipping and handling costs into the total bill.)
