Alternatives to expensive deadener?

Be careful what you fill crevices in your vehicles with, you dont really want to use a mat'l that will absorb/hold water. Clothes will, home insulation will.. toilet paper will. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif lol I am always on the prowl for closed cell foam, in any form. You can use the expanding foam type in various hard to reach areas, just use it carefully (can buckle sheet metal). And getting it in sheet form works great for lining floors, walls, plastic interior panels, etc.

I was at a warehouse a while back picking up a sand buggy, they told me to take all the shipping material I needed for wrapping the vehicle for transport... I found a ton of closed cell foam sheets very similar to ensolite. I grabbed like 5 sheets.... I should have grabbed 50!

They spay on expanding foam? Thats weather "resistant" for the most part?

Sounds like a good way to go for my needs. I'm not really expecting water or anything to get in their... But it always good to be sure...

How about the egg carton foam stuff? would that be good to put directly behind it? Just glue it to the car frame?
