And those visor shades from the dollar tree work pretty well.

go to homedepot and buy a couple cans of that compressed foam sealer crap. fill your doors with it. Lay some cement on your floor, along with a few of those fold out bed mats.

nah but seriously, you get what you pay for. I had an explorer with triple layered edead, and it was much louder then my avalanche with one layer of ramaat BXT and one layer of ensolite, a night and day difference

I dont know how much it would help, put when I was doing the outfitting on the M-1009 I sprayed all the floors, inner panels, etc with a rubberized undercoating made by rusfre, I noticed a difference, but I had also added the OEM sound deading mat, thermal mat and carpet (the truck was more or less just bare metal as it was a mil-spec truck). I would advise anyone to do this as it's cheap and just a good idea anyway.

you do need a undercoating gun to shoot it though (they are cheap anyways)

In one thread I saw a guy had put egg carton foam behind his speakers... Would this work well?

It's just something that I can easily run out, and buy a small amount of.. So....

Also, how would insulation work to plug holes thats I can't really reach? I need something that I can just stuff down there..

I think it is true that it is finally butyl (seems their product took a while to catch up with their advertising) but they use reynolds wrap on the other side now IIRC.

You are right, it is better than it once was -- but still room for doubt.
