why are all you guys giving him misleading information that caps are useless? they really are useful pieces of equipment

because for the issues people get one here asking about, a cap will not solve. caps are made to remove the peaks from the dc signal, but in car audio, the recharge time of a cap is not quick enough to deal with the demand.....they do not fix dimming, they do not produce power, they present an extra load on the system.

If you want a cap, get a kinetic battery

which is compeltely false and misleading. explain why caps are a waste of money. without caps there would be no electronics period. they are used in nearly every piece of electronic equipment

alternator first, battery second, cap third.

this is right....IF after you do the FIRST 2, you still have voltage problems, which I doubt. If you get a HO alt then battery...NO PROBS
