I remember ready an article on how much amperage you need from an altenator for each car system requiremnet and then amplifiers. You then had to calculate what you needed in terms of how many amps on the altenator you need to buy. Can anyone tell me the equation or the general requirements? Thanks

To give you a basic equation just take the rms power of the amplifier and mulitply by 2, and divide by the voltage being put out by your cars alternator, but this is not an exact number, only a fairly close estimate, there are other factors involved with this equation.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
