Altec Lansing still around?

I have a lot of old school Altec Lansing pieces from the early 90's....

Here are a few of the items....

The 552's, are they the "strapped by stacking" amps?

they linked together but they were not strappable...i'm not sure if they were even bridgeable they had a very clean sound though...they connected together with a special 3pin plug that tied in the power leads....they fit perfect in a little indention in the rear trunk side of an EVO also //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...lol

Never had one, just saw a pic of them connected. Thought they were being strapped. You know if they still do car audio?

After some digging it seems Altec Lansing was bought in 2005 by a company named "Plantronics", and there was no mention of car audio in the press release.
