Well, amps x volts = wattage so,

130 x 12 = 1560watts, But that is completly draining it and not taking into consideration how much the rest of the car draws from it. You should be able to pretty easily run a nice 1200watt amp off of it.

realise that music is not a single tone. A 1500w RMS amp don't produce a constant 1500w RMS when playing music. The volume as well can play a role. You jsut dunno till you install it. All the theories in the world might not apply in real life.

thanks.. i'm running ~ lights dim somewhat @ high volumes when i'm pounding, which is 75%of time during da 10% of time @ night

I have 1100 watts running off an 180 amp alt. and svr batt. in the back. Since upgrading the alt. I have had no dimming.
