I have this god awful alt whine that just won't seem to go away.
It occurred first with just my factory speakers which was the Bose system.. And I have bt4400. That I installed 3 years ago. Anyways I went through and started at the speakers. Swapped them and the problem was still there. Chased back to the hu. Couldn't see any issues with the wires... Put it all back in and like magic It was gone? Perhaps a loose wire. I didn't care at the time. Just happy it went away before my rod trip. I got 6.5 pro Mids to replace my front speakers and ran them on a 2 channel amp. No problems on my road trip and no problems for a month or two after. Then I put in my rear dear speakers. Running all of it off the 2 channel amp. And still no whine. Then one day I had that dang whine noise again.
So I took the rca cable off. And it went away. So then I hooked the left rca up to the left input of the amp. No noise. Then the right to the same input (left) on the amp And there was the noise.
Switched to the rear set of rcas. Same issue.
The sound is Coming out of the passenger side. Mostly the rear. But one day it came out of the front speaker only. ? Odd that it hops between speakers.
Is it a bad ground? Bad rca? Maybe a speaker wire that's rubbed through and is making a ground?
I'm a little lost on it and I've already spent countless hours chasing this issue. And it seems as if the whine is effecting the sq of my amp. Because it's sounding less clear every day.
