i think my girlfriends 01 accord has the ****** problem. is there a cheap fix to it or does it have to be rebuilt?
i don't think so, ur best bet would be to rebuild it/get a new one. Honda's auto ****** sux *** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Not that I know of. If the ****** is busted, would need a new one. Getting a rebuilt would be better. Mine is going to cost about $950 (including labor). What does her car do? Mine struggles when the gears shift sometimes. It's kind of like when you are in Drive and you have your foot on the gas pedal and you decide to put it in into neutral (foot on pedal still), and as the car is revving up into the 4-6k rpm, dropping it back into Drive, thus jerking the car....but really you were in drive the entire time. Not sure if that makes any sense. Also when you stop the vehicle while in drive, it jerks real quick, kinda like letting of the gas and stepping on it again.

A friend of mine had an '01 Prelude and he had his auto ****** fail, of course he was spraying a 65-shot of N2O. He solved it by swapping out the auto for a manual (along with picking up a manual-model engine computer).

But Honda is "so reliable". What a joke. I couldn't believe the dichotomy between rep and reality when he first told me, "Oh yeah, Honda autos crap out all the time, so I figured I would speed up my time frame for a manual swap by running the N2O."

It really appears that your car is suffering from several simultaneous issues, but I am sure you have noticed that by this point. Those kind of situations can be really frustrating, expensive, and take a long while to sort through. I feel your pain. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

My advice is to get car-professionals involved early and often.

Good luck!

Thanks, can't wait till it goes into the shop. Just got my paycheck and the amount is probably gonna be the same as the cost of gettin it fixed, but probably a few hundred shy since there are other things that might need to get fixed.

forgot about this thread.

thats exactly what her car does. i was hoping thats not what the problem is but thats what it seems to be and its slowly getting worse. we got a 1k+ mile trip to NC and back in a couple weeks and were going to take her car, i hope itll make it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

that $950 is for the ****** rebuild? is that a normal price to look for or what?
