I started with kicker. (well techincly pioneer, but the first subs i ever bought were kickers)

well i liek the idea of the L5 12s.. my friend has them in a caddy and even though caddies **** for bass due to a big super sealed up trunk, its loud. L5s are great subs IMO.

dont get the 15s at all, you wont have enough space and you wont have enough power.

dont buy a box off ebay. build one. ITS NOT HARD. my friend got one chape from ebay and even though it looked solid and pretty, he built another one and it SLAMMED compared to the prefab. there really is a big diff man regardless of how it may seem.

most importantly, DO NOT GET THE AUDIOBAHN HU! please keep looking. pioneer, alpine, panasonic,eclipse, etc. not sony, not dual, not audiobahn.

as far as price.. yeah thats decent if you want the comfort of havign your sales authorized. soemtiems thats worth the money cause the customer service from companies liek crutchfield and sound domain are usually great. however, if you want, you could always check ebay and even get yourself the newer, grey cone L5s fro probably the same price or less who knows.

If you have an I-Pod you might want to check out Alpine's CDE-9852 http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=CDE-9852 I dont know if it comes with the cable or not but it has direct plug in with their cable so you dont need a casette deck or the radio transmitter nonsense. The cable is 20$ or so anyway. Even if you dont have an I-pod its still a sick HU.
