It was better than mine. I had a prefab shallow 12 pioneer sub w/ 1200w pioneer amp (currently using //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif). my first set up was a 12" lightning audio on a jensen 112x2 on a partical board box in a 93 probe on some old *** alpine cd player and an audiovox EQ.... i was 12

Type R is one of the best beginner and low budget sub out there. Cant beat the prices they go for.
