Alpine vs. RE

Ok based on the responces ive gotten from this thread im pretty sure im going to go with 2 12' SE's. I was thinking i might get a 1500 wat hifonics amp for them. I figured since the hifonics are overated i wouldnt over power the subs right? What are some other good amps for a fairly low price that would go well with the se's?

It does 1450-1550 watts at 4ohms (depending on the exact amp). I have one for each of my xxx's, paid just over $300 each. Nice amps, much better than the Hifonics imo.
