Alpine vs. Kicker mono amp

I'm considering upgrading my mono amp to either an Alpine MRD-M1000 or a Kicker ZX1000.1. Any suggestions? The Kicker is slightly more on eBay for a new one and price probably won't be a deciding factor. I've got 2 Alpine amps right now and I've never had any problems with them. I'd like to get another Alpine, but I've always heard pretty good things about Kicker amps too.

If your happy with the Alpines you have I say stick with them.

man i had a mrd m300 and also a mrd m605. and i love them. especially the dig display, temp in f and c. amps. crazy nice amps. man i used the 300 temp for about 5 min on the 2 12" sonance v.2's, woke up a neighbor 1 mi. down the road. i loved mine. i think u would love them too.

I'm a kicker fanboy so it gets my vote. but I've run some alpine amps and they were very nice

I just don't dig how Kicker's amps look. My little MRP-F300 has been very reliable, so I wouldn't hesitate to use another amp from them. The only line of amps from Kicker I'd consider running is the SX stuff.

I'm not about to drop the money on an SX amp. I do love my MRP-F450. That's a great amp and it's really reliable. The MRD-M605 is also a really awesome amp, it's just not really enough power for 2 CVX 12s. Mine tested at 638 watts rms @ 2 ohms and 14.4 V. It's loud and clear, but I really do think it could be louder. The reason I'm only considering switching is because my cousin may buy my old CVRs and he needs an amp. I'd sell him my CVRs, box, and amp all for a good price and have enough to get a new amp. I'm only considering this as is he. I don't want to see him weigh down his 11.5 second SRT-4 with almost 80 pounds extra in the trunk. I also don't know if I want more power. My subs play surprisingly clean for Kicker with the low power. They'd probably get sloppy with more power.
