Alpine V12, Help Needed...

Hi all, very new to car audio, baught meself a second hand alpine v12 750watt 2 channel amplifer, Recieved it and i wired it up correctly to find it set on fire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif, i took it apart and noticed 2 wires crossing, i moved them and it doesnt set on fire, but it still isnt working propply, the music and protect lights come on, but the power one is staying red?

Please help, ive been told my mosfets are nackered is this true?

If there was a fire, the amp is fried... I would think that should be obvious.
