alpine tuning

i have a 2009 gmc canyon quad cab, system starts with alpine ute-52bt, amplifier is a pdx-v9, spr60c fronts and spr60 rears, and last but not least spr-12d4. trying to use the bass engine of the head unit and it is pushing way to much bass thru the doors, and if i decrease the level on the bass engine it drastically lowers the sub level output. i also dont feel like my interiors have even close to the output that i expected. ive used much cheaper brands such as powerbass 600.4 with their 2xl components and was far more satisfied. any help would be greatly appreciated.
