Just to let pwople know the Soundstream Rubicon's can have bass controls, All you have to do is crack open the amp and install it flip the Airbass swicth and close the amp back up, THey have the SS Airbass and Large Mouth Bass Control,

i have a reference 705s. the sub channel on this is rated at 400WRMS and it seems to get the kicker 15" L7 moving enough.... (abit over 2") Peak to peak.

perhaps, I sent mine back a few days ago.

the reason the soundstream wasnt as loud as you were told or thought it would be is because you bought the rubicon II series, which is not the real soundstream amp.

if you can get your hands on the good stuff, you need to look for the reference series, and the rubicon series. not the rubicon II and anything they have now. its sad to say but soundstream went bankrupt and was bought out buy power acoustic. so all the new crap yopu see online nowadays isnt the real soundstream.

look for old stereo shops in your town some still carry some items. i already found 2 shops that cary the class A amplifiers the chrome rubicon amps. saving up for those, i also found the exact 5.2 components. cant wait to try them out.
