both are excelent woofers, and i have heard the type x sealed, and it's fantastic, but the boston excels. If you get a type x for half the price of a boston, it's definatly worth it

I noticed that you have yours in a ported box? How do you like it? If i go with the Type X, I might throw it in my 2 Cube 34 hz box and see how it sounds first.

both are excelent woofers, and i have heard the type x sealed, and it's fantastic, but the boston excels. If you get a type x for half the price of a boston, it's definatly worth it

The Type X looks like it will be around 240. Not sure how much I could get the Boston for.

I researched a lot and found that almost everyone likes the JBL GTI for SQ, so it think I am heading in that direction.

I have heard the SPG555 in many different installs and it always seems to impress me in its SQ on all notes, and even its output on little power

better sq on boston, and it requires less power to get loud, where as the type x need more watts, and has less sq then the boston.

the boston will get lower then the x.

the x will get louder then the boston.

Both subwoofers sound better in a sealed inclosure

stay with the type r then, they are more for spl and shaking then the type x
