Alpine SWR-1041D

how many subs do you have or going to buy?

- if you have 1 sub go with the Alpine MRD-M301 set the RMS Power Rating (measured at 12.0V): to make it 250 RMS x 1@2 ohms.

- if you have 2 subs go with the Alpine MRD-M1001 set the RMS Power Rating (measured at 14.4V): to make it 500 RMS x 1@4 ohms.

the Alpine MRD-M501 amp won't work with the alpine swr-1041d but it would work with the other model swr-1021d.

i have the MRD-M501 powering two swr-1221d.

I'd go with one of the subs you named swr-1041 and a m-350 amp.

thats the 350rms class d amp from alpine. its underratted though and puts out about 400 on the bench with 13.5 volts.

I think its pretty much a perfect match.

I think I'll go with 1 sub the swr-1041d in a sealed box and the mrd-m301 amp. Not much room in my crew cab behind the seat. I've only seen one box made for this truck though from proboxrocks. is it any good?

don't know about the box, the type r is a good speaker though i guess. I would recommend some other brand though just because i personally know so many people with them (they're still a good value nonetheless)

the type r's do have way better sq than my l5's but my l5's get louder for sure. If you don't want THAT much bass though one should be ok especially in a truck. one of my friends just had 1 12" R in a SEDAN and it hit pretty good
