on my alpine deck, i think its a cda 9835, i cant figure out how to set the contrast. you know make the letters lighter or darker. Anyone know? ive read the manual and cant find it. there has to be a way, because at night i can see like every character in the background, even if its not lit up. Please help

thanks

I have never worked personally with that model, but a lot of Alpine's do not have a contrast adjusment option. Many people complain about how it is hard to see and what not. Give Alpine a call and confirm this, but if it isnt in the manual then I doubt it has that option.

cuz the website may have somethin the manual doesnt have, besides, Alpine seems to make one manual for like 3 or more diffrent models. Mine has no problem with contrast in daylight or night.....I havent seen a contrast feature, but you can change the color if that helps =\

The Alpine website has manuals avaliable for download. You download it, and it is EXACTLY what the manual that comes with the unit is. There is no difference at all, in some cases is might exclude some parts actually.

What do you mean Alpine has a manual for 3 or more different models? That makes no sense, as they make a manual for each model.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

They do actually use the same manual for some models, check the 9853/55's...

Each model for a specific line is in the same manual, as they are all very similar. But there are different parts for each model, thus they make a manual for each unit.

i.e., the CDA models are in the same manual, and the CDE's are in a different manual.

But whatever, this is pointless. Call Alpine and ask if your model has a contrast control, if its not in the manual then there is a slim chance.

And Foote, shut up, you are a complete moron.

well that sucks. wonder why they make it all shitty like that. When i shut it off, the clock comes on, but it still looks like it is on, its pretty weak i think im gonna get a different deck. Thanks tho

wtf ever tony, your a moron. All i said is that the online manual MIGHT have something that the paper one didnt. Then I said that my Alpine deck came with the same guide as 3 difrent models WHICH IT DID. Also, theres a lot of crap in my manual that my HU cant even do. So, you stfu.
