Alpine PXE H600 setup not WORKING!!

This thing goes through the whole set up, all the speakers sound during the test, but when it says the setup is finished there is absolutely no sound. It comes with a disc that goes into the computer and hooks up for all the eq settings etc but it had an error so i didn't use it. Do you have to use this disc in the laptop to make this work?
