i will be running a ab vfl 450.1 at 1ohm which is 4300w's.

going to have a 250amp alt.

should i run 2 xs D975's or should i go with the D3100 which has 5000 max amps.

or should i run more?

not hooked up yet... still have lots of work to do and an alt needs to show up at my door... I would guess that with my alt and my saz @.5 ohms going full tilt, she wont drop below 13

With that much power I would do a MINIMUM of two good sized batteries. Two D3100's would be a good start.

You'll need more than 1 batt for that amp. Xs is nice but spendy, same with the odyssey pc2150, stinger spv70, etc etc. I run 4 dekas right now and love them. With those and my dc alt I stay above 13v usually. More runs never hurt anyone either.
