i just finished helping my uncle install a alpine pxa h800 in 2013 touareg when i turn on the power the sound only comes through the front speakers and its at a very low volume i can turn it up all the way and it's still low i already setup the speaker inputs and outputs i even tried the auto imprint eq and it keeps failing so i guess my question is where did i go wrong the system consists of a alpine pxa h800, alpine rux c800, alpine pdx f4, pdx m6, type r speakers and a type r 12 inch subwoofer hopefully someone can help me

did you set gains at all?

are all rcas plugged in?

have you gone through the headunit options and made sure there wasnt any weird options turned on/off

how much experience do you have installing such things?

the headunit is factory. what do you mean by set gains? the only gains i set where the gains on the amplifiers. is there any other way to gains like through the processor?

Look for switches on the chassis of the headunit itself. The old Imprint required flipping small switches on the chassis of the head unit to divert the audio out to the external processor via the Ai-net cable rather than to the pre-amp output RCA plugs.

Remove the headunit and look for small switches on the top or bottom of the chassis and use a pic tool to select 'EXT'

Yes true, but if it was not on 'EXT', it would have no sound whatsoever. OP says he has sound up front but not in the back so I suspect something else is wrong.. Could be initially setup wrong with the rux.. I also suspect gains too low on front. OP are you sure you even have everything wired right?

Untrue. I have experienced it myself...a small bit of sound WILL come trough the RCAs (of the external processor) if the headunit is set to 'INT'.

Hey OP take a look at the chassis of your Alpine head unit.
