Alpine or Pioneer

Ok, my gf just got a type-r and a alpine amp but the problem is it don't sounds very good. don't get me wrong, it sounds alright but it should sound better.

i told her to buy a better hu with sub outputs so she could have better bass response. right now she has a low end jenson.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

anyways she really likes the deh-p770mp and the cda-9851 and under her budget.

what should she get?

I would probably get the 770mp (or the 670mp if you are like me and don't like the rotary commander) Nice deck, better warranty (depending on where you get it from) and I like the OEL displays better then the display on the 9851.

the pioneer 770 is a beast : ) very strong head unit, pioneer is a great name, they've been aruond forever and stand behind thier products

but if she likes alpine, and wants one name brand, you should go with that.

I recently replaced my old deh-p6400 with an p770mp and I love it. Now it took me a while to get used to the rotary commander. But I'm used to it now and I use the remote a lot. I also like the blue OEL display better than the old green OEL. However it doesn't match my dash lights like my old Pioneer deck.
